Welcome to the Pickens County, South Carolina Comprehensive Plan Website!
The Pickens County Planning Commission is currently in the process of conducting its ten-year update of its Comprehensive Plan. The county’s current plan was adopted in 1999 and this year’s undertaking will provide the County with an opportunity to evaluate its past accomplishments, review its direction, and to determine new tools and resources that are needed to achieve its Vision and to meet its future goals and objectives.
The participation and input of Pickens County’s citizens and stakeholders will be the key to the successful update of our plan. The Planning Commission and Planning Staff encourage you to become involved in and stay informed about our planning process.
A Wiki site (2030pickenscounty.editme.com) has been created to allow for direct participation in the drafting of the Comprehensive Plan and a Facebook group has been setup as another means of encouraging participation and disseminating information to our citizens.
